MWR Life pyramid fraud warning from Russia
MWR Life has received a pyramid fraud warning from the Central Bank of Russia (CBR).
As per the CBR’s September 1st warning, MWR Life exhibits “signs of a financial pyramid”.
MWR Life is a US-based travel themed MLM company run by Yoni Ashurov (right).
BehindMLM recently reviewed the latest iteration of MWR Life last month. We found no effort to dissuade chain-recruitment, lending itself to MWR Life operating as a suspected pyramid scheme.
In 2021 authorities in Andorra filed pyramid fraud charges against top MWR Life promoter Catherine Techer. As of September 2025, Techer’s case is believed to be ongoing.
MWR Life recently reaching out to BehindMLM in an attempt to distance themselves from Techer. We found MWR Life’s explanations unconvincing at best.
As of July 2025, SimilarWeb was tracking ~104,000 monthly MWR Life website visits.
Top sources of MWR Life website traffic are Armenia (36%), Canada (15%), the US (14%) and France (10%).
Russian is widely spoken in Armenia. It’s assumed CBR’s pyramid fraud warning follows MWR Life promotion spreading to Russia.
