LaCore Enterprises sells Pruvit to Herbalife
LaCore Enterprises and owner Terry LaCore have sold Pruvit to Herbalife.
As per a March 12th Herbalife press-release;
Herbalife Ltd. … today announced it has entered into a binding memorandum of understanding to acquire 100% of the assets of … Pruvit Ventures, Inc.
Pruvit is a ketone supplement company launched through LaCore Enterprises back in 2015.
A June 2023 legal spat between Underwood and former Pruvit top promoter Michael Rutherford, revealed a corporate pay suspension and “recent dramatic decrease” in distributor commissions.
Herbalife states that while it intends to launch its own ketone supplements;
Pruvit will continue to operate independently under its current ownership for up to two years.
Herbalife also announced it was set to acquire a “51% controlling ownership interest in Link BioSciences Inc.”
Link BioSciences is an established manufacturing company that utilizes proprietary technology to process biometrics, biomarkers, lifestyle data, and DNA.
I wasn’t able to establish whether LaCore owns Link BioSciences. Legal filings cite Link BioSciences as a LaCore Enterprises affiliate.
The transactions are expected to close in the second quarter of 2025 and will cost approximately $25 million to $30 million, with additional conditional payments possible based on future performance.
In addition to selling off Pruvit, Innov8tive Nutrition, another LaCore Enterprises MLM company, recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
LaCore Enterprises still owns a number of MLM companies. No public announcements regarding the future of the businesses have been made.
