Connect Dating fails to provide ownership or executive information on either of its websites.

Connect Dating operates from two known website domains:

  1. connectdating.net – registered on November 12th, 2024, private registration last updated on November 13th, 2025
  2. connectdatingopportunity.com – privately registered on September 9th, 2025

Connect Dating came to BehindMLM’s attention as a Treasure Island spinoff. Further research reveals promoters marketing Connect Dating as “a product of Treasure Island”:

Treasure Island is/was a fraudulent MLM scheme launched earlier this year. The scam, which pitched consumers on a vaporware television show, was run by founder Jeff Dyck.

Dyck (right), who goes by Jeff Jeffries, is a convicted tax fraudster.

Treasure Island solicited $100 investments from consumers on the promise of a 150% passive return, payable within 12 months.

BehindMLM published its Treasure Island review in March 2025. Including March, we’re now at least nine months into Treasure Island’s maturity period.

As of May 2025, Dyck announced he’d misappropriated over $200,000 through Treasure Island. No further updates have been made.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

Connect Dating’s Products

Connect Dating has no retailable products or services.

Promoters are only able to market Connect Dating promoter membership itself.

Connect Dating’s Compensation Plan

Connect Dating’s MLM compensation plan is tied to MyMarketPlace, another website owned by Jeff Dyck.

Connect Dating promoters create a MyMarketPlace account and then pay a $129 Connect Dating promoter fee.

The MLM side of Connect Dating pays on recruitment of promoters who pay the same fee.

Recruitment Commissions

This fee is used to pay commissions down two levels of recruitment (unilevel):

  • level 1 (personally recruited promoters) – 10%
  • level 2 – 5%

Personal Pool

Connect Dating takes 2.5% of monthly company-wide revenue and places it into the Personal Pool.

Promoters earn one share in the Personal Pool per dollar they spend through MyMarketPlace. This includes their Connect Dating promoter fee.

Network Pool

Connect Dating takes 2.5% of monthly company-wide revenue and places it into the Network Pool.

Promoters earn one share in the Network Pool per dollar spent by personally recruited Connect Dating promoters (i.e. their membership fee).

Joining Connect Dating

Connect Dating is $129.

After one hundred thousand promoters sign up, Connect Dating will transition to a monthly fee they state will be $17.99 or more.

Connect Dating

The dating side of Connect Dating is nothing more than a marketing ruse. In fact as I type this, links to a purported dating app on Connect Dating’s website are disabled.

The MLM side of Connect Dating presents two immediate regulatory red flags.

The first is handing over personal details to an entity that doesn’t disclose ownership details. Dyck failing to disclose association with Connect Dating is a potential FTC Act violation.

The MLM side of Connect Dating is a simple pyramid scheme; pay $129 and get paid to recruit others who do the same.

Nothing is marketed or sold to retail customers in Connect Dating’s MLM opportunity. It being a pyramid scheme is another FTC Act violation.

As with all MLM pyramid schemes, once promoter recruitment dries up so too will commissions.

Math guarantees that when a pyramid scheme inevitably collapses, the majority of participants lose money.

Look no further than Treasure Island to see this playing out. Dyck has dug himself into a hole:

  1. if Dyck doesn’t pay out a 150% promised ROI by next March, the scam comes undone; alternatively
  2. if Dyck does pay out 150% to each investor by next March, he’s still committed securities fraud.

We’ll close out the review by mentioning what will likely be Dyck’s next MLM pyramid launch; Connect Vacations:

Presently Connect Vacations only exists as vaporware on MyMarketPlace. It’s assumed Connect Vacations will launch when Connect Dating dies off, if that hasn’t begun already.

Being another MyMarketPlace offering, you’re probably looking at another “pay a fee and get paid to recruit others who do the same” pyramid scheme.
