Former Monat President Stuart MacMillan and owners Luis and Rayner Urdaneta have settled the legal dispute against them.

As per a January 27th filed Joint Stipulation;

Plaintiff, Stuart A. MacMillan, and Defendants, Monat Global Corp., Rayner Urdaneta, and Luis Urdaneta, by and through their undersigned counsel, hereby dismiss this action, including the pending claims and counterclaims, with prejudice.

Each party will bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.

MacMillan (right with the Urdanetas), filed suit against Monat in April 2024.

MacMillan alleging, among other things, the Urdanetas ran Monat as a “mafia family”. In a filed countersuit, the Urdanetas accused MacMillan of “gross mismanagement”.

In his lawsuit, MacMillan claimed he was owed millions pursuant to a signed Profit Sharing Agreement.

Whether any money exchanged hands as part of the reached settlement remains unclear.

In a separate lawsuit filed in June 2024, former founding Monat distributor Toni Vanschoyck claims she was terminated for questioning why distributor earnings dropped 75% over two years.

Vanschoyck’s lawsuit was referred to mediation in October 2024. At time of publication the outcome of proceedings remains pending.
