FB2Rich Review: Using Facebook to recruit?
Usually when MLM companies market themselves as social networks they claim to be a Facebook killer and virtually guarantee they’ll be the next big thing in social networking.
Then there are companies like FB2Rich. These guys aren’t a social network per say, but rather claim that by using Facebook, their members can earn $100,000 in 45 days.
Read on for a full review of the FB2Rich MLM opportunity.
The Company
Apart from mentioning that FB2Rich is a part of something called ‘SOCIAL NETWORK MARKETING LTD’, there’s no information on the company website about who owns or operated FB2Like.
The domain fb2like.com was registered on the 23rd February 2012, however the domain registration is set to private.
As always, if a MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.
The FB2Rich Product Line
FB2Rich has no retailable products or services. Instead, members are required to market membership to the company (ideally through Facebook) to non-members.
Once a membership fee has been paid, FB2Rich members are given access to a variety of marketing materials designed to assist members to market membership to the company to potential leads.
The FB2Rich Compensation Plan
The FB2Rich compensation plan revolves around paying membership fees and earning commissions via a unilevel backend.
A unilevel compensation structure places you at the top, with each member you recruit to the company placed in a leg below you. These members form your level 1 and any members they recruit form your level 2. Any members recruited by level 2 form your level 3 and so on and so forth.
Following this structure, FB2Rich pay out membership commissions as follows:
- Bronze members – 20% levels 1 and 2 and 2% on levels 3 to 5.
- Silver members – 21% on levels 1 and 2 and 2% on levels 3 to 6.
- Gold members – 22% on levels 1 and 2, 3% on levels 3 to 6 and 5% on level 7.
- Platinum members – 23% on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 6 and 8% on level 7.
Joining FB2Rich
Membership to FB2Rich is free, however if you want to actually earn anything you need to “upgrade” and pay money.
- Bronze membership – $65 ($15 a month)
- Silver membership – $80 ($20 a month)
- Gold membership – $97 ($25 a month)
- Platinum membership – $115 ($30 a month)
Effectively these price points are what FB2Rich costs to join, despite the claims of “free membership”.
Conclusion
With no product other than membership to the company to be sold, and the only difference between FB2Rich’s membership levels being the more you pay = the more you earn, it’s quite obvious that we’re dealing with a thinly veiled recruitment scam here.
By latching itself to Facebook, FB2Rich avoids having to supply replicated sales funnels or actual market training. Instead, they just pretty much advise you how to spam your Facebook network of contacts to try to get others to join the system.
When the amount of money you have to pay each month in membership fees determines your level of commissions earnt when other people join the company… well, you’re pretty got yourself a pyramid scheme right there.
No recruitment = no membership fees = no commissions.
Oh, and unless you’ve got a couple of thousand people ready to sign up under you, you can forget about dreams of creating a $100,000 residual income in 45 days too.
The “products” they have are 2 e-books.
* “Upgrade Your Brain”
* “Big Success Breakthrough”
“Thinly disguised pyramid scheme” should be the correct definition here. I’ll guess it will become “popular” when people starts to spam their contact lists in Facebook.
The e-book “Upgrade Your Brain” is probably about a partially upgrade, not including “social instincts” in the upgrading process.
You can’t purchase the products without joining though, and the commissions are solely paid out on membership fees.
Usually the thinly veiled pyramid schemes try to mask the fact by making the claim that you’re earning commissions on “product sales” despite membership being the product.
These guys just tell you to get out there and promote the opportunity itself.
