MMM Nigeria relaunch trainwreck speeds towards second collapse

When it relaunched a day early a week ago, the narrative pushed was that things would go back to the way they were before the December collapse.

Those hopes were dashed soon after, following an announcement that affiliates with large sums invested would be denied withdrawals.

The situation has continued to deteriorate throughout the week, with MMM Nigeria admins desperately trying to encourage new investment. [Continue reading…]

Swiss Mine Review: Ducatus Ponzi points OneCoin clone

There is no information on the Swiss Mine website indicating who owns or runs the business.

The Swiss Mine website domain (“swissmine.club”) was privately registered on December 5th, 2016.

The Swiss Mine compensation plan states that Swiss Mine is ‘registered in Singapore with its Branch office in Switzerland‘. Other than Singapore UEN registration number 201635218K, no further information is provided.

Further research reveals the provided UEN corresponds with Ducatus Swiss PTE LTD. Ducatus Swiss was incorporated in Singapore on December 30th, 2016.

The address used to incorporate Ducatus Swiss belongs to Luther Services.

We provide fast and efficient service for the formation and registration of a company or other legal entity in Singapore.

As such it appears Ducatus Swiss PTE LTD exists in Singapore in name only.

Corporate filings by Ducatus Swiss reveals Knut Unger and Ronny Andreas Tome as named Directors of the company.

Tome is listed as the sole shareholder of Ducatus Swiss. Knut Unger works for Luther Services.

According to the Ducatus Swiss incorporation documents, Tome is based out of Bali, Indonesia. This is likely where Swiss Mine is actually being run out of.

Tome (right) doesn’t have an MLM history but does appear to have experience with cryptocurrency, specifically bitcoin.

In 2014 Tome sold an Indonesian villa to an anonymous buyer in Texas for $600,000 worth of bitcoin, the largest recorded bitcoin transaction at the time.

Tome is also co-owner of delMango Villa Estate hotel in Bali.

Why Ronny Tome does not acknowledge ownership of Swiss Mine on the company website is unclear. [Continue reading…]

BitcoGate Review: 2×5 matrix bitcoin cash gifting

There is no information on the BitcoGate website indicating who owns or runs the business.

The BitcoGate website domain (“bitcogate.com”) was privately registered on October 26th, 2016.

Edelweiss5 Review: 0.5% to 3% daily Ponzi returns

There is no information on the Edelweiss5 website indicating who owns or runs the business.

A Bundesrepublik Deutschland incorporation certificate for TI. Edelweiss GmbH is provided. The certificate lists Dietrich Hildebrand as the sole Director of the company.

The date of incorporation certificate is May 12th, 2015. This is suspicious as the Edelweiss5 website domain was only registered on April 4th, 2016.

The Edelweiss5 domain is privately registered and provided no information about who is running the company.

Outside of the incorporation certificate, there’s also no information connecting Hildebrand to Edelweiss5.

Of note is Dietrech von Hildebrand was a well-known German Roman Catholic philosopher and theologian. So there’s a good chance that Edelweiss5’s Dietrech Hildebrand doesn’t actually exist.

Marketing videos on the official Edelweiss5 website are in Russian. Posts on the official Edelweiss5 Facebook profile are also a mix of English and Russian.

Funnily enough, if you punch “Edelweiss5” into Google the company is described as an “investment service in Kiev, Ukraine”.

All of this suggests that whoever is actually running the company is of Russian or Ukraine origin.

There’s one video in English that has a guy who calls himself Phil something claim to be the Edelweiss5 CEO. The video has footage of the guy awkwardly walking in front of various green screen renewable energy stock footage.

No information about Phil is provided on the Edelweiss5 website.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money. [Continue reading…]

OneCoin lose “secret” Abu Dhabi bank account

Following a large number of bank account closures in 2016, OneCoin began to get very secretive about their banking details.

Previously accounts for affiliates to deposit invested funds into were provided in the backoffice. Today affiliates need to go through designated “leaders” who route invested funds into OneCoin’s accounts.

Ari Widell, author of the Scam Detector blog, recently discovered that one such account was held with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in the UAE. [Continue reading…]

BTC Global Review: Five tier subscription-based bitcoin gifting

There is no information on the BTC Global website indicating who owns or runs the business.

The BTC Global website domain (“btcglobal.info”) was privately registered on December 20th, 2016.

Alexa currently estimates that 83% of all traffic to the BTC Global website originates out of Nigeria. This strongly suggests that whoever is running the company is also based out of Nigeria.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money. [Continue reading…]
