Following a lull in QNet recruitment tied to human trafficking in Ghana, authorities have announced another seven arrests.

As reported by 3News on June 30th;

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the rescue of seventy-six Ghanaian nationals who were trafficked to Nigeria under a fraudulent recruitment scheme linked to the operations of QNET.

“The suspects are in the custody of the Nigerian police, assisting investigations and subsequent prosecution. The Ghana Police Service is working to reunite the rescue victims with their families in Ghana,” DCOP Donkor noted.

The victims who were nurses, teachers, students, artisans and university students were kept in overcrowded and unhygienic conditions. Their mobile phones and travel documents were seized upon arrival, and they were placed under strict surveillance.

According to police, they were forced to contact family members in Ghana to solicit money under the pretext of paying training or facilitation fees.

An additional 48 QNet human trafficking victims were rescued in May 2025. Two additional arrests were made in connection with that case.

All the victims have been sent back to their respective countries and reunited with their families.

The last known batch of QNet arrests in Ghana was four hundred and eighty seven last September.

QNet is a pyramid scheme run out of Malaysia by founder Vijay Eswaran (right).

QNet victims are recruited on the promise of riches, only to later learn the only way to make any money is through recruitment.

QNet was officially banned in Ghana in November 2022 via court order. Unfortunately QNet promoters in Ghana continue to lure new victims into the scam via human trafficking channels.

For its part QNet has done nothing to address criminal acts undertaken by its promoters across Africa.

QNet was founded in 1998 as QuestNet. Under various company names, QNet has received multiple fraud warnings and enforcement actions from regulators and authorities around the world.
