Dish granted $5.9 million judgment against TVizion & Pshehalouk
Back in February Dish Network filed for default judgment against defendants 247 SmartLife, TVizion and owner Ferras Jim Pshehalouk.
On April 1st, final judgment in the amount of $5,959,000 was granted.
In addition to winning their copyright infringement case, Dish Network also won an injunction against the TVizion defendants.
As per the terms of the injunction, the TVizion defendants are
- receiving or retransmitting DISH’s satellite transmissions or any content contained therein without DISH’s authorization; and
- assisting others in receiving or retransmitting DISH’s satellite transmissions or any content contained therein without DISH’s authorization, including through the sale of subscriptions or passcodes used in accessing such satellite transmissions or content.
After Dish Network filed its lawsuit, Pshehalouk shut down 247 SmartLife and TVizion.
TVizion was rebooted as NuMedia, which is still available today. Alexa rankings for the NuMedia website however suggest the opportunity has collapsed.
Whether or not Pshehalouk is offering pirated Dish Network content through NuMedia is unclear.
