moneybox-tv-logoMoneyBox TV operate in the streambox MLM niche and provide an address in Malta on their website.

Identified as CEO of the company is Simone Di Sabato, who according to his Facebook profile is based out of Italy – suggesting MoneyBox TV exists in Malta in name only.

MoneyBoxTV is Rake Business Ltd’s trademark and project, a start-up created by a young entrepreneurs team with a proven experience in selling, advertising, business training and marketing, united with enthusiasm in order to create and develop MoneyBoxTV project.

Simone-Di-Sabato-ceo-moneybox-tvPrior to launching MoneyBox TV Di Sabato (right) was an affiliate with NutryNet (January 2015), an Italian wellness MLM that launched late last year and appears to have stalled. He was also an affiliate with VitaDaTrader (November 2014), which appears to have been some sort of forex scheme.

Late last year Di Sabato was also promoting iFreeX, run by Sann Rodrigues of TelexFree fame.

Simone-Di-Sabato-ceo-moneybox-tv-with-sann-rodrigues-ifreexDespite iFreeX being a blatant TelexFree reload Ponzi scheme, Di Sabato figured joining it and investing was a good idea (and worthy of a thumbs up).

Other questionable schemes Di Sabato promoted in 2014 include GoldAdMatrix (recruitment-driven pyramid scheme), Zona Network ($25 to $3500 Ponzi scheme), One Thor (another TelexFree Ponzi clone), Unetenet (a €50 million EUR Ponzi investment scheme)

Di Sabato’s MLM history has a pretty broad selection of fraudulent MLM schemes targeting the European region these last few years. Is MoneyBox TV the next chapter?

The MoneyBox TV Product Line

MoneyBox TV is an Android Decoder who enables us to display advertisements to our users, while they are watching TV, a DVD or a film on the Internet, surfing the Web, working, playing, listening to music, using the TV.

In a nutshell, you plug an internet cable into a MoneyBox TV decoder and it overlays whatever you’re doing with advertising.

MoneyBox TV decoders are advertised as costing €349 each (bundled with affiliate investment positions), however they don’t appear to be for sale at a retail level.

The MoneyBox TV Compensation Plan

Update July 15th 2016 – A week or so ago I was contacted by MoneyBox TV and informed the company had changed its original compensation plan.

An updated BehindMLM review of MoneyBox TV was published on July 15th, 2016. /end update

The MoneyBox TV compensation plan sees affiliates invest between €349 and €8148 on the promise of advertised monthly ROIs.

MoneyBox TV affiliates are also paid to recruit new affiliates who invest, as well as on any advertising or e-commerce activity they either directly or indirectly generate.

Recruitment Commissions

MoneyBox TV affiliates are paid to recruit new affiliates as follows:

  • Road affiliates = €100 EUR every three Square affiliates recruited, €200 EUR every three District affiliates recruited, €300 EUR every three Town affiliates recruited and €400 EUR every three Capital affiliates recruited
  • Square affiliates = €200 EUR every three Square affiliates recruited, €400 EUR every three District affiliates recruited, €600 EUR every three Town affiliates recruited and €800 EUR every three Capital affiliates recruited
  • District affiliates = €300 EUR every three Square affiliates recruited, €600 EUR every three District affiliates recruited, €900 EUR every three Town affiliates recruited and €1200 EUR every three Capital affiliates recruited
  • Town affiliates = €400 EUR every three Square affiliates recruited, €800 EUR every three District affiliates recruited, €1200 EUR every three Town affiliates recruited and €1600 EUR every three Capital affiliates recruited
  • Capital affiliates = €500 EUR every three Square affiliates recruited, €1000 EUR every three District affiliates recruited, €1500 EUR every three Town affiliates recruited and €2000 EUR every three Capital affiliates recruited

Monthly ROIs

MoneyBox TV advertise a monthly ROI payable to their affiliates.

How much of a ROI is paid out each month is determined by how much a MoneyBox TV affiliate invests with the company:

  • Road (€349 EUR) – €90 EUR
  • Square (€1848 EUR) – €270 EUR
  • District (€3248 EUR) – €450 EUR
  • Town (€5848 EUR) – €820 EUR
  • Capital (€8148 EUR) – €1070 EUR

Referral commissions are paid out on both initial funds invested as well as ongoing monthly ROIs.

These commissions are paid out down two levels of recruitment (unilevel) as follows:

Road affiliates

  • initial investment – 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • monthly ROIs – 5% on level 1 and 2% on level 2

Square affiliates

  • initial investment – 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • monthly ROIs – 8% on level 1 and 4% on level 2

District affiliates

  • initial investment – 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • monthly ROIs – 10% on level 1 and 5% on level 2

Town affiliates

  • initial investment – 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • monthly ROIs – 12% on level 1 and 6% on level 2

Capital affiliates

  • initial investment – 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • monthly ROIs – 16% on level 1 and 8% on level 2

Matrix Commissions

The MoneyBox TV marketing material mentions a 3×10 matrix, however I was unable to find any specific information as to how matrix commissions are paid out.

A 3×10 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix, with three positions directly under them:

that-free-thing-3x8-matrix-compensation-plan

These three positions form the first level of the matrix, with the second level generated by splitting the three first level positions into another three positions each.

The third level of the matrix is generated by splitting level 2 positions into another three positions each, and so on and so forth till all ten levels of the matrix are generated.

Positions in the matrix are filled via the direct or indirect recruitment of affiliates.

The following percentages are provided in one presentation I cited:

  • Road – 3%
  • Square – 4%
  • District – 5%
  • Town – 6%
  • Capital -8%

However no information on what these percentages are paid out on. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s probably a percentage of the monthly ROI paid out to affiliates in the matrix.

Advertising and E-commerce Commissions

MoneyBox TV affiliates can earn commissions by watching company-supplied ads on their MoneyBox TV decoders.

Commissions paid out on advertising revenue generated by this activity is as follows:

  • Road affiliates = 6% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) and 2% on level 2
  • Square affiliates = 7% on level 1, 2% on level 2 and 1% on levels 3 and 4
  • District affiliates = 8% on level 1, 2% on level 2 and 1% on levels 3 to 6
  • Town affiliates = 9% on level 1, 2% on level 2 and 1% on levels 3 to 10
  • Capital affiliates = 10% on level 1, 3% on level 2 and 1.5% on levels 3 to 10

The same commissions are paid out on any e-commerce activity generated by an affiliate’s downline.

Bonus Investment Positions

Subject to meeting the following recruitment criteria, MoneyBox TV affiliates can qualify to receive additional bonus investment positions:

  • Senior (recruit at least three affiliates and have a downline who have invested in at least 38 positions) = 1 free bonus investment position
  • Advisor (recruit and maintain at least three affiliates (one of which is Senior ranked) and have a downline who have invested in at least 114 positions) = 2 free bonus investment positions
  • VIP (recruit and maintain at least three affiliates (three of which are Senior ranked) and have a downline who have invested in at least 228 positions) = 3 free bonus investment positions
  • Executive (recruit and maintain at least three affiliates (two which are Senior ranked and one Advisor) and have a downline who have invested in at least 378 positions) = 4 free bonus investment positions
  • Manager (recruit and maintain at least three affiliates (one of which is Senior ranked, one an Advisor and one a VIP) and have a downline who have invested in at least 568 positions) = 5 free bonus investment positions
  • Top Manager (recruit and maintain at least three affiliates (one of which is Advisor ranked, one VIP and one Manager) and have a downline who have invested in at least 786 positions) = 4 free bonus investment positions

Note that free positions awarded at each rank stack, ie. new positions are awarded at each rank, irrespective of existing free positions awarded at lesser ranks.

Also note that free investment positions awarded to recruited affiliates do not count towards downline position quotas.

Joining MoneyBox TV

Affiliate membership with MoneyBox TV is tied to how much an affiliate wishes to invest with the company:

  • Road – €349 EUR
  • Square – €1848 EUR
  • District – €3248 EUR
  • Town – €5848 EUR
  • Capital – €8148 EUR

Note that no matter which investment amount is chosen, all MoneyBox TV affiliates are subject to an annual €69 EUR fee after their first year.

A free MoneyBox TV affiliate option is also available, however free MoneyBox TV affiliates cannot participate in matrix commissions (and thus were omitted from this review).

Conclusion

Would you pay €349 for an android box that shoves advertising in your face at any given opportunity?

Neither would I… yet that’s the premise the MoneyBox TV MLM opportunity is built around.

Furthermore, even if you did want such an experience, €349 for an Android stream box with an installed advertising script is a joke.

But in order to pay out the monthly ROIs MoneyBox TV advertise, it has to be.

MoneyBox TV will naturally represent that advertisers are the source of their monthly ROIs. At the offered ROI rates though, that’s a load of absolute bollocks.

In no way shape or form would stream box advertising revenue come even remotely close to paying out the guaranteed monthly ROIs MoneyBox TV advertise.

Furthermore that’s not how advertising works. Monthly ROIs and legitimate advertising activity do not go hand in hand.

And having your affiliates generate advertising activity with a direct financial incentive is just asking for trouble. No legitimate advertiser is going to be interested in that sort of advertising, at least none with decent advertising budgets (which only leaves your “fraction of a cent” per action advertisers).

So with all that out of the way, what’s left?

MoneyBox TV take in hundreds and thousands of EUR from investors and use it to pay off existing investors.

That’s pretty much all that’s going on here, with the whole MoneyBox TV decoder schtick serving up smoke and mirrors.

You invest €x and MoneyBox TV guarantee you a fixed greater than €x ROI each month. Recruit new investors to earn even more money.

There’s also a distinct pay to play element to the scheme, with most components in the MoneyBox TV compensation plan dependent on how much an affiliate has invested (infact, there are no other qualifiers).

As with all Ponzi schemes, once investment of new affiliates dries up, so too will the monthly ROI and commissions paid out.

The monthly commissions will be first to go, with some silly excuse made for lack of payment (probably on the withdrawal end, ie. payment processor issues). Then they’ll string people along for a few months yet before collapsing entirely.
